Report of birthday celebration of our Superior Fr Eric Mathias SJ
I became a simple priest only after encountering few circumstances that changed
my life, which made me to lead a life of poverty, being a young priest I was posted
in place where I learnt to be generous and respond to each and every situation, said
Fr. Eric. And shared his concern for the poor.
Rev. Fr. Eric Mathais's birthday was celebrated on 21st October 20121 at the
quadrangle of the college. The traditional welcome by the students gave a special
invitation for the celebration. A soothing prayer song by Mr. Joseph and team and
a warm welcome by Mr. Pascal gave a special feel to the programme
The birthday boy shared his happiness by cutting the cake with us all. While Rev.
Fr. Praveen Martis SJ Shared his feelings and introduced Fr. Eric's family and his
lifestyle in a simple manner by wishing him success
Fr. Eric is a man of action and a person next to God especially for the poor; he is
the godfather to all the students said Poornima of Second year science. Mr. Abdul
Shared his encounter with Fr. Eric and his ministerial works that inspired him
during his teaching tenure.
A short felicitation by all the staff members made the event more memorable one
.Mr. Shivakumar also wished him with a special vote of thanks. Thus it was a
extraordinary occasion to treasured.
