St Aloysius PU College, Harihar - Celebration of Bakrid - Ed - Al - Adha, June 30, 2023

St. Aloysius PU College, Harihar celebrated Bakrid -Eid - Adha on30th June 2023. The programme began with a beautiful inter-religious prayer by the students of St. Aloysius PU College, Harihar. The scriptures from all the religions were recited and the significance of the feast was conveyed by Mohammed Ayan from 1st PU Science student.

Miss. Sushmita from 2 nd Arts welcomed everyone especially Mr. Ghulam Nabi, MBBS DCH along with all other chief guests.

There was also a wonderful song played on EidAl-Adha, by the students.

Thereafter the chief guest was honoured in the presence of Rev. Fr. Eric Mathias SJ, the director of St. Aloysius PU College, Rev.Fr. Avinash Lobo SJ, the finance officer andRev. Fr. Vinod AJ SJ, the director of gents Hostel.

Mr.Ghulam Nabi addressed the gathering. First of all, he congratulated the management for organising such a programme to appreciate the inter- religious harmony.Secondly, he explained the meaning and significance of Bakrid by narrating the story of prophet Ibrahim and his Son Ismail.

Rev. Fr. Eric Mathias conveyed his greetings and opined that Bakrid is a feast of sacrifice which invites each one of us to sacrifice in whatever ways possible and love one another as brothers and sisters. Thus we can make others life meaningful.

The programme come to an end with the National Anthem.
