Feast of St. Ignatious of Loyola held on 31 st July 2023

St. Ignatius of Loyola brought about a revolutionary change in the world through education and service by establishing Jesuit institutions. It is commendable that thousands of Jesuit priests have followed in his path and continue to uphold his ideals. In this regard, on July 31, the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola was celebrated at Stan Swamy Auditorium at 10.00 am.

Dr. Chandramohan, the Taluk Health Officer at Harihar, was the chief guest for the program and spoke about St. Ignatius of Loyola and the importance of taking care of our health. He provided valuable insights and awareness to the staff and students on health-related matters.

Rev. Fr. Eric Mathias, S.J., the Director of the college, delivered a presidential address shedding light on the mission of Jesuit institutions. The Finance Officer, Rev. Fr. Avinash Lobo, S.J., College Principal Mrs. Pushpalatha Urs, Vice Principals Mr. Pascal Fernandes and Mr. Mosin Ulla, Cultural Program Coordinator Miss. Jyothy Gupta, College Student Council President Ms. Muskan, and Vice President Ms. Sushmita were also present at the event.

During the celebration, students were felicitated for their achievements in the Fr. Stan Swamy Memorial Week competitions. Additionally, a classical traditional welcome dance performed by the students added a new glow to the program, spreading the life message of Saint Ignatius of Loyola.

The master of ceremony was conducted by Averenny from 2nd Science, while Ms. Lakshmi from 1st Commerce welcomed the gathering, and Ms. Ritika proposed the vote of thanks.
