A Report on Investture Ceremony

Investiture Ceremony is an important event which gives a good start to the activities for the academic year. Investiture Ceremony for the academic Session 2023-2024 held on 21st of November 2023. On the same day we celebrated St Gonzaga feast .

"The pessimist complains about the wind, the optimist expects it to change but the leader adjusts the sails".

The ceremony was to badge the leaders of this academic year who would be leading this year's all the curricular and co-curricular activities and work with the team effort and bring out new and challenging events with all the success.

Investiture means a formal investing of a person with authority, power, right, office and dignity. It's rightly said that 'leaders are not born, they are made'. Year after year, it reminds us of the trust and confidence that we repose in our newly elected and selected student council members. Donning the mantle of responsibility, they all pledge to dispense their duties to the best of their abilities and abide by rules and regulations of our college.

The Investiture Ceremony was graced by the presence of honourable MLA of Harihar Mr B P Harish who was the Chief Guest ,Rev Fr George K A and Mr M Hanumanthappa BEO were Guest of Honour . It was indeed an honor of having such Guests for presiding the function.

It began with an Intereligious Prayer by Mahima and her team, Ms Deeksha of Ist year commerce delivered the welcome address.

A welcome dance was peformed by Anusha and her team from IInd year.

The Oath taking ceremony was led by Mr Mohsin Ulla , Vice Principal of Arts and Commerce Department. The Council Members and class representatives pledged to work earnestly and uphold the honor and glory of the institution.

The badging ceremony of the newly elected candidates was carried out by Ms Jyothi Gupta V, Coordinator of Student Council Members.Chief Guest and Superior of our college honoured the students with badges and slashes .

The Chief Guest, Mr B P Harish shared his thoughts and experiences in life and admonished the students as to how one's own life experience, moral values, discipline in life can help to shape the future and become a good leader. He encouraged all the students to always walk on the correct path, stick to it and be the change. His inspiring examples from his own life experiences were the excellent means to make students understand how to invest one's life and also be a very good leader.

Our principal Ms Pushpalatha Urs and Superior of our college Fr Eric Mathias congratulated the newly elected Office Bearers and wished them to solemnly take their duties and responsibilities with utmost dedication and diligence. They motivated the members of the student council to keep up the good spirit despite of all the obstacles and challenges that life brings in front of them.

The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mr Baptist from 1st year Science and the program had witnessed a smooth transition.
